I felt such a strong desire & need to take my daughter to LTCBR's "Back-to-School Covering Service(s)" on the weekend of August 19-21, 2022. In addition to all of my daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance & duties & activities, since Sarah's school had already started, and, as a parent I had to be on top of it all (orientations, flurry of emails, etc., etc.), school before school, it was one of the most difficult things I have done in a very long time. I was pressed for time like a tortilla. No sleep. Just adrenaline. Still, it was worth it. For me, some of the time, I know it was the LORD's voice AFTER I have acted upon a feeling or desire.
Since we had just returned to California in July from having attended Revolution 2022 in BTR, LA, this recent trip was an extra expense. I kept praying that the air fares would come down, against all odds. The air fare kept going up instead, but, a few days afterwards, I just happened to look without thinking of it, and, lo and behold, the air fare had in fact come down! Long story short, my daughter & I flew to BTR & back to California for less than $1200, including 2 preferred seats each way (to sit together), free checked bags, and travel insurance. This is just one miracle so far. Originally I was looking at a hair under $2000! What's more, on one of the two flights to BTR, we ended up having all three seats to ourselves too - the extra space was really a nice relief!
Then, I go to book my car rental, and, having some points to use, the cost was to be only $66 for a three-day rental. But, upon showing up to pick up the car though, they tell me that I had a free-day in addition! Though puzzled, I just flowed with it. I even got a car which I liked very much (half manual and boxy)! Long story short again, at the end of it all, I paid only $23.21. This is including allowing me to have the car three hours past its return time due to multiple flight delays & changes! Can you believe it y'all?
Lastly, I was able to also use my points combined with paying for a part of the cost at only $55.95 per night at a nice hotel, who picked us up with their shuttle upon the plane landing almost at midnight. And they drove us to pick up the rental car the next morning!!
Miracles in the Air
Now, this is where it gets rather interesting.............
Returning back home to California was an adventure! We were to be on two flights to reach our terminal destination. The first flight was delayed four times before the rebooking of it. Those delays would cause us missing the connecting flight in Dallas, TX. The rebooked flight kept changing as well - I think we counted about 11 times. Multiple delays and then flight time pulled ahead earlier and some more back & forth. After awhile, it was just comical how volatile the flight times were changing! A couple of other flight numbers just got outright cancelled. I learned after all of this that there was severe flooding in parts of Texas & bad weather.
Finally, the plane took off had cleared the "take-off" mode and had leveled out. But, as we were in the air, after about the first 12 minutes or so, there was a very big & hard THUG against the plane, which caused me a HUGE start that it brought out my vocals! It was not the wheels being pulled in (we were already past that). It was a very very loud & hard THUMP against the plane!!! All I could think to do was to pull down the eating tray and begin praying in the Holy Ghost, my face buried into my cupped hands, for most of the duration of that flight. A couple of times, I was not ashamed to raise my hands to give God some praise and thanksgiving, because, hey, when I think that this could be an end, if I have to go, I want to go to the LORD! Incidentally, Pastor Spell had put out a Global video earlier that day about "praying the Word" and I remembered it. I reminded the LORD about how He caused the sun to stand still for Hezekiah, and, as such, I prayed - let the LORD clear the skyway's path for our plane to fly through clear skies. Believing that it might help, I asked the LORD to also remember the key times when I had prayed & fasted on the behalf of LTCBR as well as for Pastor Spell's litigations.
Consequently, would you believe that I have NEVER in my life EVER EVER seen the skies THAT clear throughout BOTH flights? My daughter kept saying...."mom, look outside!!" It was so crystal clear that we could VIVIDLY see the city lights below on BOTH flights for most of the duration of the flights!!! It was truly remarkable!!! When we started out, it was foggy outside and we could not see too much! I have always believed that sometimes God does actually move on the behalf of even just ONE person's petition, with other people benefiting from that blessing. I have experienced it when I worked at Kaiser Permanente. For years I had continually petitioned the LORD to make a way for Medical Transcriptionists to get set up to work from home. Long story short, THE DAY on which I was supposed to have physically returned back to work from my maternity leave, after having exhausted all of my combined sick & vacation time along with my Pregnancy Disability benefits, was THE DAY on which it was decreed just one day prior that it was my turn to start working from home. Literally, up until that very day, I had NO CLUE WHAT I was going to do! I just knew that I could not leave my baby! Whew!!! I got to stay home with my baby for the next five years while my husband worked the opposite days of my schedule! Then, after those five years, Kaiser was going through a very big change, and, just as I was needing to begin schooling my child from home, Kaiser offered a severance package for those who would take it. I took it. It came with financial compensation and one year's worth of medical & dental free of charge! God's timing is always perfect!!! He does ALL things well!!!
On the connecting flight (to a different airport than where we currently live), Jesus took care of that too -- I was rather nervous about having to sit next to any stranger so closely packed on the plane, but, a very very nice young man, very respectful & kind, got assigned to the 3rd seat! I even felt comfortable enough to share the Gospel of Acts 2:38 with him, also giving him the LTCBR tract, encouraging him to subscribe to Pastor Spell's You-Tube. He was very open to it!
It was an adventure all the way home to the very very end, though.......... We had to wait a very long time for our bags because the bag carousel broke down one time. And the ascending belt kept breaking down constantly. We finally got home just before 3 a.m. in the morning. My husband had been waiting for a good 3 hours. He NEVER misses work for anything, but, lo, he just could not go into work that morning and perform his stressful job. Didn't have enough strength. But, I was sooo thankful to have retrieved our bags!!!
The next morning, I felt like I was Elisha or something, as my mom brought me some groceries & some pre-made food, which helped me tremendously, as I had to put together something for my husband's lunch for the following day on which he would return to work......
There are a couple of other miracles (or answered prayers) to report during this trip to LTCBR; however, I will end here for the sake of keeping this post short enough yet hopefully still be encouraging to someone, boosting their faith!
I share this testimony because God is ALWAYS GOOD and I will sing of the goodness of God! I hope that the testimony of my adventuresome experiences will encourage those who read it. Let it encourage your faith -- and know that a miracle is always in the midst of our troubles.
It's in our praise. Hallelujiah!
Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
