History

Revolution AYC originated when the WPF cancelled its annual PEAK conference in 2020. That year served as a time of great transition, shifting, and unexpected chaos, starting with the worldwide pandemic that struck fear in people across the globe. That year tested the Faith of many saints of God and the Church as a whole. Around early-March of 2020, governmental entities instituted bans and restrictions on businesses and suppressed freedom of religion. As such, the highly anticipated PEAK conference was cancelled. Masks, social distancing, and sanitizer became strange trending words. People isolated in homes, schools closed, churches cancelled services, and the world stopped.

However, Life Tabernacle Church, under the leadership of Pastor Tony Spell and Sis. Shaye Spell continued to assemble regularly in Baton Rouge, Louisiana despite state mandates against freedom of religion. The doors remained opened, and services continued as usual. Life Tabernacle has experienced monumental growth and a Holy Ghost outpouring despite the naysayers and a plethora of unjust and unbalanced media against Pastor Spell and the Life Tabernacle family. In the face of death threats, arrests, and court cases, Pastor Spell still boldly expresses to the world and the Church that His orders and convictions come from Almighty God—as did Daniel during the reign of King Nebuchadnezzar. Scripture tells us that Daniel “did as he did aforetime” (Daniel 6:10).

Just a few hours after PEAK cancelled, Pastor Spell decided to host Revolution: America’s Youth Conference in Baton Rouge, LA. That’s how this conference was birthed. Pastor Spell offered to let PEAK be hosted on the Life Tabernacle Church campus, but the WPF declined and canceled. Nonetheless, Pastor Spell adamantly insists that young people and adults need conferences, and the Church must gather! Life Tabernacle’s leadership scrambled and worked diligently for 30 days to make the first conference happen in 2020 because, despite the divisive strategies of the devil, those in the Body of Christ need one another in these dark and unpredictable hours. We will never forsake the assembling of ourselves together (Hebrews 10:25). The work of the ministry will continue. Souls must be won. We will not fear; rather, we will put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6). Often the greatest experiences, like the Day of Pentecost Holy Ghost experience and Azusa, are birthed out of great chaos.

Understand that Revolution is NOT your normal church conference. This is intense passion for Jesus Christ. This is about turning cities upside down for the Gospel. This is about standing toe-to-toe against devil. This is about fire, revival-style preaching AND reaching souls for the Kingdom of God. We will gather, we will fellowship, we will move through our city, and we will be the Church God commanded us to be. Worship and pray for the lost. Learn about reaching souls and go do it immediately. We are also intense about our fellowship--we have phenomenal experiences for young and old alike. You can enjoy kayaking and swimming, a petting zoo for the littles, shopping and great food, competitive tournaments like softball, kickball, basketball, and relay races--ALL on one campus!

During preparations for our second annual Revolution conference, Pastor Spell decided to merge the former Commit and newly birthed Revolution into one conference. What does that mean? Commit used to be all about soul winning. Revolution used to be all about revival-style preaching. We kept the Revolution AYC name, but the 5-day conference merges both elements. You will leave FULL! Restored & equipped.

While we planned all of our conference elements, another battle roared. Here are a few of the highlights:

31 March 2020|Pastor Tony Spell arrested for holding services during the pandemic.

25 April 2020 | Pastor Spell fitted with ankle bracelet and placed on house arrest for 27 days.

5 March 2021 | Life Tabernacle Church purchased 5.325 acres to build Revolution Square and connect all 41 acres of property.

2500+ souls were baptized and hundreds Holy Ghost filled during the months of persecution and the numbers continue to grow.

13 May 2022 | Louisiana Supreme Court ruled in favor of Pastor Spell and stated that Governor John Bel Edwards' mandates against churches were unconstitutional. You can Download the Ruling Here.

This conference will empower and challenge you deeply. It’s not for the faint of heart, but it is for the radical ones who want to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ, no matter what we may suffer. Because, friends, you will suffer.

“Suffer bravely, Church.” -Pastor Tony Spell

“Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.” – I Peter 4:12-14
